Saving money and time on any activity is the foremost concern for everyone and anyone. The case is no different with lawn care business. Back when I first started managing restaurants I got together with one of my fellow managers over a slice of pizza and discussed how we might make a few extra bucks in addition to our salaries. It would have to be something that paid cash and could be accomplished on one of our days off. Jim was just starting a family and wanted one day off a week to spend with them at least. After reviewing a number of options we decided to go into the Lawn Mowing Business business. Once he implemented this, starting lawn care business really started to pick up. His mowing staff really created quite a stir in the community. Motorists would slow their driving to a crawl to take a second look and see if their eyes were really deceiving them.
Now that I am working from home, I do find myself in the same situation. The situation isn’t near as bad as when I was working for someone else. When I find myself falling into this spiraling job burnout, I can now step away from what I am doing for however long I need to find the fun in the projects I am working and myself.
As for the printing job. It took us weeks to finish a job that usually takes a printer that is equipped to handle high-volume jobs just a couple of days. We did a good job on the print, but in the end the customer was dissatisfied with the amount of time it took to complete the job so we never did any work for them again.
